To quit or not to quit?

Leaving your day job for whatever reason is a big and complicated decision to make for any professional. Employees are often motivated by the prospect of more money, or new challenges that may be available at a different company. There’s no exact science to making your exit a smart move, however BBC has put together a useful flowchart infographic to help you in this process, based on the latest statistics and research.

According to the figures, 69 percent of workers are either seeking a new job or are open to a new opportunity, while 88 percent of this group is motivated by reasons other than a higher salary. The chart begins with a few simple questions posed to the jobseeker asking them to explain why exactly they want to leave. It then directs the reader to a series of follow up questions that weigh the pros and cons in the situation and then offers a final suggestion on whether to leave or stay, depending on the answers given.
