Road to success is paved with failure. Here are 3 famous people who went through this failing process and were also sent rejection letters.

It gives us hope and strength not to be afraid of failing and makes us stronger and more eager to succeed. 

In 1956, the pop artist Andy Warhol received a very polite rejection letter from the MoMA after he tried to give them a drawing he made entitled Shoe.

The museum now owns 168 pieces by the late artist (including a number of shoe drawings).

Early-1976, aged 18 and still in high school, aspiring artist Tim Burton sent both a letter and copy of his illustrated children’s book — The Giant Zlig — toWalt Disney Productionsin the hope that they would publish it. Weeks later, he received a very polite rejection letter from an editor named T. Jeanette Kroger in which she outlined her impressions of his submitted work and offered predominantly positive feedback.

More recently, we learnt that Jan Koum and Brian Acton, both CEO of What’s App had been turned down for jobs at Facebook and a couple of years later, Facebook spent $16 Billion for this What’s App acquisition.
