Recently-opened hub aims to support tech startups
If you’re an entrepreneur with an eye on IT, then you may just have struck gold. Freshly opened in JLT, in the DMCC Free Zone, AstroLabs Dubai describes itself as a tech hub whose purpose is to support tech startups and, more generally, to create a robust technological environment in the MENA region.
AstroLabs offers several competitively-priced membership packages. It helps entrepreneurial teams with developed products to obtain licenses and register their startup in the DMCC Free Zone. Other members, such as individual entrepreneurs or ones whose ideas still need work can benefit from specialized training programs and workshops, such as digital marketing, programming or analytics, at AstroLabs Academy. All members also have access to the hub’s network of partners, mentors and industry experts, as well as help to obtain funding support. Non-members can still attend free AstroLabs events to find out more about entrepreneurship in Dubai and the MENA region.
AstroLabs is located in Cluster R, JLT, and can be reached at 04 454 4459. It provides a 24/7 accessible coworking space with high-speed internet, dedicated areas for programming or mobile app development (in partnership with Google), as well as a training room.
