Arabnet takes place in dubai the 27th and 28th of May 2015 at Atlantis
It’s that time of year again when startups, big businesses as well as venture capitalists and high-profile speakers for the region’s largest event will get together to focus on all things digital.
ArabNet, which is currently in its third edition, is set to be held in Dubai May 27-28, and all the action is taking place at Atlantis, The Palm.
The event comes at an ideal time for the startup community, as more than $400 million is expected to be available from angel investors and venture capitalists who have been increasingly interested in the Middle East market in recent years. This represents a real opportunity for local and regional startups to network and learn from the pros.
Meanwhile, competition among startups in the UAE and wider MENA region is also heating up, a trend that’s expected to be highlighted at the conference. Some of the region’s most successful digital businesses will be present to share their stories and advice such as Talabat.com, which was acquired by Rocket Internet for $170 million. The event will stay true to its roots, remaining a key platform for a long list of new companies to showcase their ideas and business models.
ArabNet 2015 is expected to bring together more than 1000 participants, including 70 exhibitors and 100 other speakers. It will also feature the Start Up Track, Match-up, Digital Showcase, 500Startup track, NEXT track, Ad+Tech Academy and a plethora of global and regional industry leaders.
