Tech Reigns Supreme
Apple sold a record 74.5 million iPhones last quarter. In the UAE alone, the tech giant sold more than 10 million new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets in September 2014, just three days after the launch, setting a new record in the process.
The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, said that on average, Apple sold 34,000 iPhones every hour, 24 hours a day, each day over the three-month quarter. That’s just over nine iPhones sold every second!
