Dubai-based entrepreneur publishes book about her experiences
Have you ever considered becoming an entrepreneur, but didn’t feel quite ready to launch off on your own? Rana El-Eid’s recently published book may be the nudge you need.
Rana El-Eid is a serial entrepreneur based in Dubai since 1993. She has founded a web design agency (RED Design), a family-friendly restaurant (Café Céramique) and a line of spas (Re-Salons and Spas). In her book, Think Like a Woman, Act Like an Entrepreneur, she shares her experience and insights.
The main message of the book is to encourage women to trust their intuition and their drive to succeed, without paying attention to discouraging comments. She describes the ways in which women approach business differently from men and tells them to capitalize on it, because that is what makes their strength. However, she also points out the importance of remaining detached from their business, so that its success or failure does not impact their sense of self-worth. She also points out that a good relationship with her staff has been a key part of her success.
Could this advice set more women on the entrepreneurship track?
